Live Spin

Live Spin lets a PickerSpin host share a room code so everyone watching sees the same wheel spin resolve to the same result at the same moment, on their own device, with no app or account needed to watch.

Watch a wheel spin in real time, together. When a host goes live in the PickerSpin app, everyone with the link sees the same result at the same moment — great for giveaways and remote groups. No app needed to watch.

How it works

  1. The host starts a live spin from the PickerSpin app
  2. Everyone opens the link in a browser — no install, no account
  3. The spin runs on every screen at once and lands on the same result

Why watching together matters

A result announced after the fact asks people to take your word for it. A result everyone watches arrive does not. For giveaways that difference is the whole game: the audience saw the same wheel, the same entries and the same landing, at the same time.

The same holds for remote teams and family game nights, where the person sharing their screen is otherwise also the person deciding what everyone else sees.

Using it well

Send the link before you start rather than during, so latecomers are not still opening it while the wheel slows down. Read the entries aloud before spinning, since viewers who join late will not have seen the list being built. And say the winner's name after the spin as well as showing it — audio carries where a small screen does not.

Watching requires only a browser, so it works on a phone passed round a room as easily as on a laptop. Live Spin is opt-in rather than on by default; the privacy policy covers what is and is not shared when a room is open.

For drawing giveaway winners from comments, pair it with the YouTube or Instagram comment pickers, or follow the method in how to pick a raffle winner. The Android app is what hosts a room.
